Itinerary
DAY 1: San José del Guaviare – Geoparque Lodge Ecopradera – Gastronomic experience
Meet and greet by our specialized guide at Jorge Enrique González Torres Airport in the city of San José de Guaviare.
Check-in at the hotel, a cultural welcome presentation, and lunch. Visit the Ecopradera Geopark Lodge, followed by a mindful hike through the reserve.
We will enjoy dinner around a campfire on the tepuy. After watching an Amazonian sunset that recharges the spirit and showcases the magnificence of the landscape we are about to explore, we will savor traditional beverages made from fruits that grow in the forest. Paired with local cheeses, these will transport us to a new world of flavors, surrounded by rock formations over 300 million years old.
Return to the hotel. Overnight stay.
DAY 2: Guayabero Rapids – Cave Art – Traditional Cuisine Class
Breakfast. Travel to the Guayabero Rapids, arriving at Puerto Lucas Caserío Raudal Angosturas II, where we’ll board a canoe that will take us to the base camp. From there, we’ll begin our hike to the rock art site, a place that will help us connect with the ancestral heritage of this land.
Afterward, we’ll admire the majestic rapids from a viewpoint that will leave you in awe.
Lunch on the banks of the Guayabero River, followed by a return trip to share in a cooking masterclass with Yamile, a Cubeo indigenous leader, who will impart her knowledge and love for local products.
It will be a fascinating journey into the past, with a special flavor of jungle and river, rock art, waterfalls, and tepuis that will show us the importance of connecting with the roots of our indigenous ancestors.
Special dinner with indigenous leader Lilia. At the agreed-upon time, return to the hotel.
DAY 3: Chagra and garden – Jaguar Trail – Natural Wells
Breakfast. We will visit the farm of Lilia Meneses, a Guanano indigenous woman who will welcome us into her home to share her work in reviving traditional ingredients in cuisine, her story as a traditional cook, and the generational transition.
Departure to Beraca (Indian Pond), where we will experience the garden and coca. We will walk the paths of the jaguar man in one of the most mystical places in the world, where inspiration is nourished and everything that prevents us from BEING CONSCIOUS emerges from within us.
We will learn about the importance of locally sourced food and how, through responsible consumption in cities, we can help reduce our carbon footprint and eat better food.
Picnic lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll marvel at rock formations from the Earth’s earliest era that defy gravity, and then explore a stunning river dotted with pools—natural hot tubs carved by the flow of water over millions of years.
At the agreed-upon time, return to the hotel. Buffet dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 4: Local market place – Orión Gate – Return
Breakfast. Departure for La Casa de Ceci market square.
We will then take a tour to discover the mysteries of the majestic Gate of Orion, which we will admire, before cooling off in the crystal-clear waters of a beautiful waterfall; from June through early December, we will visit the beautiful River of Colors, a place renowned for its colors and very similar to the famous Caño Cristales.
Enjoy a traditional regional lunch, and at the agreed-upon time, transfer to Jorge Enrique González Torres Airport and return to your city of origin.
End of the experience, beginning of the memories.
